Prolaspe on Hen, Just Reassure Me

Came out this morning to my fav hen (always is) and she was prolasped with them picking at her a bit. It went in right in on its own but she is a bit bloody from them picking on her. So I put her in the shed alone, dark and quiet. There is nothing to push back in as she is pulling it in on her own, she doesnt feel egg bound and it seems she laid an egg this morning. SHe is bright and alert right now.

Anything else I need to know? I have company here now, but I am going to let her sit in a warm bath in a bit.....and make her scrambled eggs!

Thanks in advance everyone..... I just need a bit of reassurance here!!

I'm treating an EE hen with a mild prolapse (today is day 3), and I have her sequestered in a large dog crate with her own food and water and clean pine shavings. I'm treating her with Preparation H every evening when I get home, and otherwise just making sure she's eating and acting ok. (She is, and I was relieved to hear my hubby retrieved an egg from her yesterday.) This poor girl gets picked on constantly and the others had started picking at her vent while she was in the nest box, so she was a bit bloody, too, but she's looking better every day. Not sure if it's the isolation or the Preparation H that's helping (or both).

That is great Amy, so she wasnt egg bound??? I dont think my girl is...at least that is my gut feeling, but I am a bit nervous. i have had chickens many years, but never an eggbound hen. I heard you can feel the egg in between the legs and she seems "empty". Also when I was putting her"back in" there was not an egg at the end......
