Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do. 
So after this last hatch is done I have made a deal with DH that the incubator will be put away for the year...I seriously don't know how many Chickens/ chicks I have at this point... My latest to hatch is for the eggs they will produce this fall/winter, I plan on selling eggs through the winter to pay for feed etc and convinced him having atleast 30 laying hens would allow me to accomplish this... Although I did promise to "put up the incubator" I did not promise that more eggs wouldn't be incubated (come on broody hens!!)
