Protecting Silkies

I'm gonna build a 6 by 8 chicken coop. I don't know how big the chicken coop will be because I don't have land yet, but am wanting it to be between a quarter of an acre or a half an acre that has electric fencing to discourage predators. I don't know how to discourage flying predators and digging preadators. Does anybody know how?

I would keep the silkies in a run that is covered. It seems like hawks love to go for silkies because they can't see because of that fluff on their head. If not I would provide alot of cover for them to run in or under to get away from hawks. Lock them up at night and things should be fine.
