I have 2 ducks that have been broody and on eggs for about 3 weeks now in the past week the drake stays in there coop and doesnt got outside anymore. If i go into feed them he is very protective and when i leave he acts all tough and chases after me. I have never seen drakes act like this when the girls are on eggs i normally remove them. Do you guys think it will be ok to leave him with them even up until the hatching of the eggs he isnt seeming to bother them at all.

Sounds like he is just doing his job as a duck parent, but keep watching him.
Ditto. Please send photo's when you can.

I've seen this before. I got a drake last year as an adult. Right from the start he was protective of his girls. Although I don't know why he would do it only when the they were setting. Maybe (like they said) his parenting instinct kicked in. Congrats on your broodies :D
