Protein content of hen scratch

Am I right in my thinking. My hen scratch out here is just corn, barley and oats. That being said, corn 9%, barley 12% and oat 12%. Therefore, all are equal parts therefore it would be considered 33% . Looking at using it for mixing in my feed

Percentages do not work that way in feed

I just did a quick check of protein in scratch from purina and hen scratch from hensway--both were under 10%. There are fillers and lower protein ingredients in the mix.

Restrict scratch to 10% of their feed

No. Your math is way off base. 9 + 12 + 12 = 33 33/3 = 11%.
