Went to the feed shop today
For some growers pellet all they had
Was 15.5% so I did not buy this as wanted 18%
Do people really use 15.5% ??

I never buy grower feed. I use a combination Start & Grow/Starter-Grower feed with 18% Protein or a All-Flock/Flock Raiser feed with 20% Protein.
With my first Flock I switched to a 16% layers feed after they were a year old and they started to feather pick.
After 3 bags, I switched back to a 18% feed.
My second Flock has always had either a 18 or 20% feed. They will be 1 year old on the 15th. . GC
