What can I feed my birds for extra protein?

Eggs, meat. "re-cycling" some of their own eggs, if they are layers, helps them a lot. Black Oil Sun Flower seeds. Again, meat, which a chicken naturally eats. Worms and grubs are meat, but so is beef, pork, fish and chicken.

Is it OK to feed chickens cooked (ie: canned beans, like black beans) for extra protein?

I feed mine all leftover chicken carcass, beef and pork, and also the occasional can of tuna, which is high in protein.
