Protruding

One of our hens has a protruding egg. Our roster cut it and egg yolk leaked out. I'm not sure what to do with her. She seems to be fine except the protruding egg. We need help. This is our first flock and we aren't sure what to do.

Give her a warm, quite warm, water soak. Fill the kitchen sink and soak her there for 20 minutes or so. You can see if you can ease the egg out or see if the warm water lets her relax enough for her to get it out. She may need some calcium.
