Yes, that is a roo. The female BLRWs have the lacing down the back, just like the lacing on the chest.

See the feathers on Lacey's back? They are round and laced just like her chest feathers.

Here is Hotwing. See how his chest feathers are laced but his saddle feathers are longer, thinner, and do not look like the chest feathers? Hotwing looked exactly like your BLRW. He will be gorgeous when he matures.

Both of you have some of the best Blue Laced wyandottes I have seen, nice to know the variety is improving, maybe the APA will accept it someday, as it is an accepted variety in the UK and Aus.

I think my "girl" was out of bamagirl. Most of mine are from her stock. I just got three RIR's from Bantyman and he is so nice and the birds are doing great.

We are going to keep watching Raines. She does not act roostery at all but I will be so sad. I have a friend who is going to take her if she becomes a he.
