Hello peeps!
Super Bowl is here once again. You may not know this, but domestic violence numbers go up on Super Bowl Sunday. Being forewarned can go a long way to decreasing a domestic violence incident before it happens.
For example, if your spouse or significant other is going to the trouble of making you something special for the game, be patient, be grateful & maybe even try to help. Creating an entire dinner exclusively out of appetizers is not as easy or as quick as the waitress at Hooters makes it seem. Be warned that your spouse is probably tired, over worked & is holding sharp cooking utensils. Using good judgement during these times can keep one or both of you out of jail or the ER.
For you children & teens reading this; If you are old enough to be on social media, you are old enough to help in the kitchen. Your mother is not your servant. She needs your help. It would be wise to remember that your mother brought you into this world & she can also take you out if it. Be kind and do your part.
This being said, there is NO excuse for domestic violence at any time, any place or for any reason.
If you find yourself in a domestic violence situation or you or someone else’s life is in danger please call 911 immediately.
The National Domestic Violence hotline is available & standing by to help you 24hrs a day 7days a week.

Last but not least, don’t drink & drive! Let’s all play it safe, not just on game day, but everyday. Game on!
