Public Hearing!!! REALLY?

I live in East Stroudsburg. When I started raising my chickens I did not know I was supposed to have 2 acres in property to be allowed to do it. I was told that I had to remove my chickens from my property and also any structures involving my chickens.
I appealed my case and now there will be a "Public Hearing" in my township to see if they will let me keep the.
Has any body has gone through this? Do I have a chance to keep my chickens or is this hearing made to publically make me get rid of my chickens?
I am very concern and anxious.

I wouldn't worry about it. This gives the neighborhood an opportunity to express concern for you having chickens. On the plus side this gives all of your neighbor friends the opportunity to say how much they do not mind you having chickens. Bribe them all with eggs and maybe you can get the ordinance changed.
