I offer my free-range chickens dozens of options, nearly all organic. They choose to eat a moderate amount of organic cracked corn. OTOH they won't touch the expensive organic "low-pufa layer pellets" (which are mainly peas).

My sense btw is that this "low pufa" thing is a fad. New research will discover that foods such as organic corn are actually good for us, that we've been overthinking it. Similar to how margarine was a health food while I was growing up, but then more research discovered that you "can't fool Mother Nature"... which many of us knew all along.
