Puff, our lap chicken died last night

We lost our sweetest and most gentle of chickens last night. Puff was a blue bantam cochin and was so sweet. If I would sit down, she would flutter up to my lap and cuddle. She is the reason we got chickens in the first place!! We saw her at TSC and just had to have her, so we asked and they informed us she had to have 5 friends, so we went home with 6 little peepers. That was almost 2 years ago and life will not be the same without sweet little Puff Puff! Rest in peace, Puff in Stuff, we love you so much!

So sorry,..... it is always hard to loose one, especially a favourate.
Two years is kinda young for a chicken?

She woke up with a full crop and I got worried. Her bottom was really messy and I suspect it may have been an internal infection of some sort. I tried all that I knew to do, but she went downhill fast. No mites to be found, and everyone was just wormed about a month ago. who knows?
