I have some arrowhead Mills brand puffed millet cereal. it is only puff millet nothing else. I see that it's mostly carbohydrates and not much of anything else. But i'm wondering if I can give this to my chickens just for some variety? I don't like the cereal, it's like eating little pilots of styrofoam Why do you put milk and sugar with it or not, But I thought the chickens might like it, l o l. I guess the question is. Should I bother with letting them fill up on something that's kind of low quality in terms of food? And does it matter that it's puffed and not just straight millet?

Use it for enrichment as a snack or treat and don't let them "fill up" on it and there is NO issue.

Puffed is fine.
