Glad to here she's perking up a bit.

ETA: Scrambled eggs will usually get them intersted in eating, but if she turns her beak up at that try some canned cat food.

Sounds like worms to me. Do you worm them? If so it might also be some sort of infection... is she limping at all? Show any signs of any particular part of her hurting?

Huge improvement today. Yesterday, I held a bowl of water and electrolytes up to her face. She drank a TON. Her poop is nearly normal but the white portion is yellowish. I'm wondering if there was a broken egg in there? The electrolyte stuff is yellow though too. Maybe she somehow became dehydrated? I have no idea. She's better and outside this morning running around and ripping up a head of lettuce. They are 8 months and I've never wormed them. Should I go ahead and do this to the entire flock once I'm sure Dinner is back to normal?

Thanks for all the replies by the way. It's weird being alone and not really knowing what to do.

You could just worm them or (my favorite) take a fecal sample to the vet and have a fecal float done. It's around $20 and that way you're not treating for something you don't need to if it turns out they don't have worms. If she did have an egg break inside she might need antibiotics, I think the injectable pen-g is what works best for that--not sure since I haven't had one do that yet. Anyhow, I'm glad she's feeling better this morning!!!

I know this post was from years ago, but the way you described the situation with your chicken is whats happening to my 1 year old EE laying hen. Almost to the T. Do you remember what electrolyte stuff you gave to your hen?
