puffy eyelid...help

My buff orpingtons eyelid is puffy/swollen...I have searched online everywhere to find out what this is to no avail. I spray the eye with Vetericyn a few times a day, and after a few days they are back to normal. I don't know what this is and if there is anything I can do to prevent it. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Many thanks!

Swelling around the face is usually a sign of a respiratory disease, either bacterial or viral. Mycoplasma (CRD), coryza, and infectious bronchitis are a few of the ones that are common. Drugs such as Tylan and Duramycin can treat the symptoms, but these diseases can be chronic if the birds recover. They may infect other birds that are brought in.
