Puking 1 week old duckling....ideas???

I have had ducklingsdo this before when picked up

Happens when you pick it up?..Your the cause. Putting pressure on the crop so it regurgitated...

I don't know about ducks, but chickens can aspirate if the turning upside down is not done properly.

I took a video for you all. The black ones are the girls I bought for myself. Perkins are for my kids. So looking at the blacks, you will see the difference in the one in question.

ok so I purchased a dozen ducks from a hatchery. I buy from them every year, and I have contacted them about this. But they are at a loss as I am.

This duckling is a Black Swedish duck. She is one week old now and has been puking up clear mucus when she is picked up. She is definitely failing to thrive IMHO. She smaller than her sisters.
I have been giving all of them yogurt and hard boiled egg. She eats well. They thought she was loading up with water.

Personally, I think I'm not going to win this race and I'm curious if anyone else has had a duckling like this and what did you do to help. I'm going to keep doing the yogurt every other day. And hard boiled egg on the opposite days. I currently feed them chick starter.

One of my Pekin did that clear mucous thing too. It was after they were diving a lot in the bath and I was removing and drying them to go back in the brooder. I thought it was a bit like how I felt after swallowing too much water while diving. So I watched the duckling and eventually it was fine. I was very careful to hold them very loosely but cage like after that if that makes sense? My hand was securely around the duckling but barely touching it. It couldn’t jump out of my hands, but I wasn’t putting any direct pressure on it. I also waited about a week before it had another bath.

That’s no help or advice obviously, more of a BTDT.
