So I just pulled a soft shelled egg out of my 3 year old D'uccle hen. It was only the shell but I got the whole thing out. Do I need to flush her vent or anything? Her eyes are bright, her comb is bright, she is not in a penguin stance, she will eat, she has eaten (her crop is mostly full) and she reacts to things like a stick I used to push her around, she tried squirming out of my hands when I picked her up. I pulled it out of her about 10 minutes ago, and she is a little fluffed up right now but not a penguin. She is responsive.

I hope someone else posts for you that has been through this.
I am afraid to advise on this. I know with shelless eggs that come out whole or if they are egg bound you can do epsom salt baths, and calcium citrate with vitamin D3, but I'm not sure on one who has yolk stuck in her. 😞

She is running around with her friend right now foraging lol she seems pretty good Idk if yolk is actually in her or not, I am wondering If I should give her calcium citrate + D3 to see if she will expel any that may be in her
