My pullets have begun to lay odd, wrinkly eggs. While looking over the eggs, my daughter asked a question I did not have an answer for. So, I am asking the
egg-spurts. Can a small, pullet egg be hatched by a hen? Looking forward to the responses.

If the egg is fertile, then yes it can be hatched.

BUT- the chicks would be small and weaker since they didn't have a large yolk to eat.

Try waiting a month before hatching them so the eggs will be larger and the chicks have a better chance.

We were not planning on hatching them, just curious. Thank you so much for the information.

Yep. They have access to fresh water, and layer pellets too. None of the shells are soft, just oddly formed.
