I have a bantam cochin, she is about 4 months old and has not yet started laying. She is one of my first chickens so i am not a pro at this by any means. She has always been the first little lady to run over when I bring out snacks but the last three days she seems uninterested and tired. I picked her up to put her in the coop the other day and she vomited a white watery fluid. It is possible I put too much pressure on her crop but the vomit is in addition to her tiredness and lack of interest in food and water so I am super concerned. I took her to the vet yesterday(I know I am crazy) and he started her on a liquid antibiotic and told me to massage her crop a few times a day. She also appears to not be preening herself. Any suggestions as to what I can do? I went to a county vet so I am not 100% confident in his chicken advice.

Look up info about sour crop and impacted crop and see which (if either) is the problem. There will also be plenty of advice about treatment once you determine the problem.
