Pullet layed her first egg then layed another - same day!

How can this be possible?
Americauna about 5/6 months old.

Yes, she is. 3 of the girls (brown egg layers) always lay somewhere in the coop. The americauna was found in the bushes sitting on one egg - then anither egg popped up.

This morning i went out around 6am to let the girls out And it looks like the americauna layed her third egg i. The nesting box!

Probably brcause she was locked in.

She started before the sum was up.

I assume she's laying blue/green, and is your only blue/green layer?
Not too unusual for a new layer to lay more than one in the same day, especially in the first week...one is often a softshelled egg.
Things should smooth out soon.

She is my only blue/green layer. The 2nd one found the same day was a double yolker! I remember her laying the double yolker around 4pm yesterday. So i was totally suprised to see another blue/green egg before 6am this morning.

Last year my 4 mo. old Buff Orpington laid 2 eggs, her first, in one day.

I have 5 chickens total. Still waiting for the wellsummer pullet to lay her first egg. Seems like she dieant have any interest in laying anything
