starting to wonder if maybe it's behavior of a broody pullet? Anyway when the other pullet approaches the nesting box area when this particular pullet is in the nesting box, the pullet in the nesting box will make sort of a chattering chipmunk sound which sounds like she's annoyed about something and the other pullet leaves the nesting box area?

Anyway just curious what that was about???

Have they started laying? If so I would assume she is going broody.
B one that's making the chipmunk sound has been laying regularly since oh I guess about five months or so. the other one who is the same age has laid once or twice but hasn't laid again. I just figured the other one is just sort of a late bloomer.

The one that lays regularly has no issue with their eggs or anything so like I said I was thinking maybe since she was spending a little more time on her eggs then she normally would that she was getting broody a little bit although she does go out to have water and stuff like that and walk around in their open run area

I have a couple hens who sound like velociraptors when another hen tries to barge in, when they are laying in a box. When that happens it turns into a chicken traffic jam. Even though there is multiple boxes. So may just be vocal girl

Does she act differently than normal like she’s anoyed with the other chickens
yeah it seems exactly like she's annoyed although she doesn't peck the other or anything like that it's just makes this little sound that sounds like she's quibbling about something with the other pullet or Cockerel
