Hatched January 30th. I'm thinking male, looking to confirm.

Its not an acurate sexing method only works for some breeds but if you wanna try it feathered sexed as female males would would be equal feathering

I'm not gonna argue, but I sex my chicks like this all the time, unless they're sex linked with barring, then it's super easy.

I've also 'wing sexed' all of my chicks of a variety of breeds since 2017 and it's only proven to be about 56.7% accurate overall. It depends entirely on the breed and the genetics of the parents. More often than not, it won't work with just any chick you hatch.

Putting that aside and assuming this is a chick that can be wing sexed, those look like the staggered wing pins of a pullet.

White Leghorn hen crossed with a barred cross rooster from a meat project. The hen decided to move in from across the street. Apparently my food tastes better?😅 I'm not looking for a 100% guarantee on sex, I would like educated guesses from people that use the method though. And if they are kind enough to highlight on my photos what makes them believe male or female, I would be eternally grateful.

If it can't be done that's fine! I'm not trying to start a war! It's too early in the week for that. 🙈

Thats why i said it works with some breeds. doesnt work with wyandottes well for me it never did.
I've been doing it for years, I practice on breeds I've never wing feather sexed before.

So far I've sexed:
Sumatras

Buff Orpingtons

Project Orpingtons

Silkies(Lots of them)

EE/Brahma crosses

Mille Fleur, & Porcelain D'uccles

Malays(First time, & fail)

Breeds, or mixes I'm practicing on are: Wyandottes, Sussex, Leghorn, Cochin, etc. All those I haven't yet.
