Hello!
I am having trouble figuring out if my Production Red is a pullet or cockerel. I bought her (I am just gonna call her a 'her' for now) from a store that ordered from cackle hatchery, and on the order it says she would be a pullet, but my dad insists that she is a cockerel. She will be 9 weeks old on Monday if that matters for anything. The other Production Red we bought looks like a hen, but I have read that some hens will look like roosters, so i just want some thoughts from experienced chicken owners/hatchers/etc. I also wanna say thank you ahead of time! (This is my first time posting here, so sorry if something doesnt post right)

It appears you have a cockerel on your hands. :) Those wing bars are darker than the rest of the plumage, plus the comb/wattles are quite developed.

Sexing is only guaranteed to be 90% accurate, sadly.

Alright, thank you! We have an easter egger cockerel too (down to 7 pullets now), so I am gonna have to figure something out since they have both taken places in my heart.
