They're probably getting rid if it for a couple reasons.
1. Its a Cockerel
2. It's sick

Yeah, quarinte may be in order for that little guy/girl, ask if they got him/her at one of those hatcherys that add "warming packages!" To their orders.

Yeah, Im betting, they are getting rid of that gift to whomever feels bad for it and doesn't know.
