Pullet or cockerel?

A couple of my barnyard mix I keep going back and forth on. They were hatched mid October. The mom is a blue Maran, the dad a white Easter egger. He had a pea comb.

And the second::

2nd question- will I get olive eggs out of this mix, or does the roo need to be Maran and the Hen an EE?

I believe that both are cockerels.

Those are both roosters.

You should get olive eggs from that cross, but the tricky thing is not knowing what color genes the EE father had. Unless you hatched him yourself, it's kind of a crapshoot. The pea comb is encouraging, but not a guarantee unfortunately.

Ok. Thanks. Those were my only two Maran eggs that hatched, so I'll never know!

Complaints from the neighbor landed our roo in freezer camp. So unfortunately no we can't. I wosh I could. He was a handsome guy.
