Hi, wanting some opinions here...this is our New Hampshire Red, 5 weeks old tomorrow....

DH and I have differing opinions...Pullet or Roo?

I've posted this pic way too many times!!! I need to take some new ones LOL!!!

Here's my BR roo surrounded by RIR and NHR....these are at a little over 5 wks....I'd say urs is a girl!!!

I was raised on a farm and I kept telling him that my little girl is a little girl...but because she is maturing faster and her comb is starting to really show he says it is a roo. LMAO

I am gonna get this dinner yet....bwahahahahaha
 
I think if she were a roo her comb would be a LOT bigger than it is the pics, also when mine where at 5 wks their combs were the same as you can see in the pics, and I KNOW those are hens....If she is a roo she's a late bloomer IMO, only time will tell....I think it's a she!!!! Tell your husband women are always right, and if it does end up being a roo tell him something about chickens gender-changing or something LOL!!!
 
Thank you all...I just made him read this thread and he has conceded....he has walked off grumbling about the poor lighting over their brooder and he would have known if he could have seen her better.

Oh not like I never take them out or anything...hahahahaha
