When reading other post in this section, I often wondered how it worked out, so I thought I should share that the crowing started at about 11 wks of age and at 12 weeks we thought the neighbors would begin to be bothered. Those first few crows, no louder then a whisper are sure cute. We took the boys to the farm yesterday. The lady there, look all of them over and agreed with what we've been being told here since they were 4 weeks old; The Roo Boys (RIR3/4) and the Brahmas Toasted Marshmallow (B1) & Sunshine (B2) are cockerels. So our flock is down to 4, we’re zoned for 5. I feel very lucky to have found someone who re-homes roosters as we don’t what them to end up as fighting chickens or bait birds, both of which I’m told you have to be pretty careful of around here.
