hi i started my first flock with meat birds because i was aware of the fast grow and harvest time. and moved up to egg layers i bought 10 from a local market and they grew up very nice they are around 2 months but i have no idea what breed they are or gender i know for sure of 2 roo in my flock but i need help since i dont wanna keep more than 2 since i have a big place for them. anyhelp would be great





i did my best to have them all in the same pic any help would be great

good grief.. I'd wonder if the seller was deliberately trying to get rid of their cockerels early on.

Usually it is not easy to sell cockerels or roosters except for butchering. Probably expect for someone wanting them cheaper for butchering or just butcher them yourself.
 
Unless you wanna buy 100+ hens, you'll have to get rid of some. Each rooster needs at least ten hens if you're gonna keep more than one. If you keep one, you'll want 2+ hens. I think a NICE rooster is a great addition to any flock.

You could always caponize your roos. It's like neutering a rooster. They don't crow or try to mount hens after you do it. They act like hens except for the whole eghlaying part.

I think you have some RIR roos and an australorp...? and for the others I don't know. Take my breed guesses with a grain of salt because I'm not that good in that department.

thanks thats still helpfull i just grew fond of 2 of them for there nice colors and character and wanna keep them. i have a chicken barn so its pretty big and i also have land so i can keep one by himself and only give him 2 hens when i want them to breed
