A few weeks ago, my pullet "attacked" my dog while broody - which I understand is not out of the ordinary (broody aggressiveness). Blondie (chicken) didn't actually do any damage and Ginger (dog) was a champ, but now Blondie - no longer broody - has been picking on Ginger a little, although I can't tell if it's aggressiveness or along the lines of pecking fingers without the intent to do harm. Has anyone else experienced this? Even my cockerels respect Ginger and appreciate her guardianship, so I can't figure out why Darwin isn't looking out for Blondie. 😝

How big is Ginger? I know my chicken Clockwise likes to harass my cat, but I think Clockwise just does it playfully(mostly) and Sasha(cat) always comes back for more🤣

Ginger's a medium-sized Australian Labradoodle (i.e NOT 50/50 Labrador/Poodle), so she is tallish and looks big due to her fluffy hair, but is only 40lbs - not that a chicken would know that, LOL! The chickens seem to love her and follow her around like she's a member of the flock. I believe @Tired old Rooster is correct and it's just curiosity, but Ginger has serious health issues and we're trying to avoid stress. I could 99% be over-analyzing this, so if there are no other anecdotes about pullet vs. dog aggression, I will let it go! 🙂
