Pullet Sneezing. Worse than I think.

Well, My feed store is really not that Poultry orientated.

I just got a reply from them. They don't sell ANY vet products for respiratory problems they only sell wormers, cocci cures and mite and lice cures.

So off to the vet we go.

O.K here is the plan!

I will be away tonight ( my Monday ), tomorrow ( My Tuesday )and then come home late on the Wednesday.
We are going up to town today, I will pick up some ACV and then go to pet barn ( it is a pet store ) to see if we can get like a general respiratory cure for birds.

My dad will give them the ACV and just keep them fed etc. When I return If there is no improvement or it has gotten worse then we will go to our local vet ( they know us well ) and see what we can get.

I would love to do all this now and take immediate action like you have all said but sadly it has just not worked out.

Thank you all again so much and I will keep you updated!

Fingers crossed for you! Tell dad to keep their bedding as clean as possible also, that will help. Let us know how she's doing once you return.

I have just put a new layer of bedding down for them, so he shouldn't have to do that. He is going to make a nice little run for them as they are in a cage right now. It is fully opened but no the best for them.

So very happy with how my babies are doing!! I did the 3 days of th tylan injections, and they are active, eating, and drinking. BARELY any sneezing!! So very grateful for th people who have helped me, as these babies I hatched from my own two bantams who I love so very much. VERY ATTACHED :) I hope everyone else here who has the same issue, is seeing an improvement in their babies as well!!!

hi I knew tylan would do the job! I am VERY happy to hear that's things are going well! I am also very happy to have helped! tylosin or Tylan 50 is a excellent antibiotic for respiratory issues! I'm soo happy to hear that its better! may God bless you and your flock with good health! best wishes! glad to hear the good news! :) :) :)

Hi all, I'm back!

O.K we searched high and low and no pet stores, feed stores sell anything for respiratory problems. So they have been on ACV while I was away.
Dad has made them a big run and he said he hasn't seen any sneezing. When I got home I sat and watched them for a while. nothing, nothing. Then 1 little sniffle and then a little later just one sneeze. I think they are slowly pushing it off. I think getting them something would have sped up the process. But at least the sneezing is down.
We are going to keep a close eye on them though and if things worsen then we are going to ring the vet, as some one advised and just have a chat with them to see what we can get.
But they are getting better, just slowly. So I hope things keep getting better!

Thank you all so much and I will continue to keep you updated!
