When I go to pick up my OEGB pullet (7 months) she spread her wings, not fully, but she acts like shes trying to get balance. Is this something she would do for the rooster? None of my roos are old enough (8 weeks) She isn't laying yet. How soon until she lays.

I would say, start looking for eggs! They do that when it's "mating" time, which also indicates that it's "egg-laying" time.

Is she squatting when you reach for her or only after you've picked her up?

If she freezes in place when you reach for or go near her, and puts her wings out (kinda looks like she's putting out just her elbows?), then that means she is coming to point of lay pretty soon. My guess is that you'll have eggs within 2-3 weeks, tops.

Once I actually pick her up, she stops doing it. When I pick her up she starts "purring" She's a big baby. Cooing what ever you want to call it.

Sounds like she is squatting which is normal submissive behavior and an invitation for a Roo. Egg laying is coming soon if she's not already laying.
