I have a 3 month old supposed red sex link pullet that crowed today when I tried to introduce some smaller pullets to the chicken yard. Could she be really be a he?
She/he has always been the largest and most aggressive of the 8 chickens I purchased in March from a feed store. I bought 6 Americaunas and 2 red-sex links. Of the two sex link chicks, this one grew faster, grew a bigger comb and wattles, and now there are green feathers growining in her/his tail. We lost the other sex link 4 weeks ago to a weasle, so we have not been able to compare lately. The hackle feathers are also very narrow and pointed.
