I have a pullet that just started wheezing in the last hour. She is also sneezing a lot. She was not doing either this morning or at noon.
It is unusually dusty and dry out there. But I observed her drinking and she immediately resumed wheezing.

I am off to get some tylan now.
I was wondering what the drug for fungal stuff is? Is that the sulfa drug?

They got into a moldy bedding pile the other day and I raked it away, but just in case this is related I want to cover the bases.
Can I give both tylan and an anti-fungal drug together? Do they have to be injected? What gauge needle?

She is eating and drinking, all care is standard. Flock mates are fine.
She is due to begin laying soon. Her face looks fine.

Mom found a video of stridor (sp?) and that's exactly what she sounds like.

I felt her crop and realized there is a firm bulge above it in the middle of her throat.
Checked another pullet for comparison and that ones throat was skinny as expected. The pullet with the problem has a rather big bulge.
She sounds worse than the video. I put her in the brooder on the porch for observation. Should I try to give her coconut oil?

@casportpony can you please help me figure out who I should be tagging?

Give her until tomorrow to see what this does. It may be simple dust inhalation and minor respiratory irritation or stridor from something caught in her throat. The stridor most often corrects itself in less than 24 hours.

Tylan 50 is usually given to chickens orally since the stuff is highly caustic and can injure tissue if injected. The dose is .1mg per pound of body weight twice a day for three to five days.
If symptoms do not improve after three days on Tylan, then we can talk about how to treat a fungal respiratory infection which can be tricky.

Don't panic. This will likely self correct without an antibiotic.

Thank you! It's just such a big bulge in her throat for such a small neck - her neck is about doubled in that spot. Is there a chance her throat may swell around the obstruction like it can for humans?

Have you pried open her beak and tried to see the object?

The airway is in the center of the throat directly behind the tongue. The esophagus is on the right side of the throat. It's important to determine which the object is obstructing.

Sorry, I didn't see this last response before I went back outside.
Spent some time observing her, but my mom was insisting that people said they should go back with their flock so as not to add unnecessary stress.
I didn't want to, but eventually gave in and put her out on the roost with her friends, with the thought that maybe hanging her head during sleep may help clear her throat?

I really appreciate all the help, @azygous 🥰
I'll see how she's doing in the morning.
