Pullets and their feed

Okay so I have been feeding my chicks start and grow for 16 weeks and just started giving them grower and finisher is it okay if I just give the grower and finisher for 2 weeks then give them layer food or do they need the grower and finisher for a certain period of time to finish right???!!!

I would continue with the grower and finisher to finish out the bag, and add free choice oyster shell. Then you can continue with the same feed, and free choice oyster shell (and give them back all of their egg shells crushed fine) or switch to layer feed... which is less protein but has added calcium.

True. I feed starter for only a few weeks; once they're out of the brooder and foraging I start with the scratch. Mine get crushed oyster shells almost right away; made a mistake once and 1/2 the poor birds impacted. What I heal I was then.
