Pullets feathers not coming in? Or fallen out?

Wow, what a difference! Bam! lol

Thanks for the update. Hope it continues to feather. I wasn't sure before, but was leaning towards it, and I'm not sure now, but am leaning even more towards it... It looks like a little male.

Either way, it looks much better! Good to see. :)

Just wanted to update this in case anyone had a similar situation.

My little runt is in fact a bantam Brahma (most likely) cockerel, which explains the slow feathering.

Here he is at 14 weeks, his tail feathers are just starting to sprout. He's a happy little fella!

Thanks for the update. Sure does look male, but what a long time he took to even start to look normal! Since your thread first started I've seen a few similar types of bantam fowl and they've all been feathering slowly, but none as slow as him. I'd bet that if you keep his offspring out of artificial incubators and rearer setups, the feathering will accelerate with every generation until it's normal, since I have noticed all breeds habitually raised via artificial incubation and rearing seem to develop quite slow feathering compared to those raised out with mothers and no constant heat source available. Just a theory though. All the best.
