Pullets first egg

I am excited, I hatched out baby chicks in Nov. Blue isbar/LO/blue cochin mix. One of my pullets is sitting in a nest box, I know this may be a practice run, but I hope she lays. I am worried about her sister, she is shy. I will guess her first try she will not lay in a nest box, but hopefully later. They came out of brown eggs their dad had a green egg gene. It is alot of fun looking forward to what ever color they lay.

I wrote her breed above, she laid her first egg today, it was dark green with brown spots.

her feathers are a nice blue, not too dark not too light.

There isn’t a green gene. Green eggs come from one copy of blue and one of brown.

Shells are either white or blue(2 genes)...
....coating is various hues of brown(many genes).
Brown coating on blue shell makes a green egg.

the dad was a blue isbar/legbar, the mom was blue cochin/LO the daughter's egg came out the dark green. Thank you SOOO much for trying to help me with my chicken egg genes, (with my 40 years chicken experience it is ALways good to get input.)
