Pullets get fussier/noisier before beginning to lay?

I only have 4 girls and I'm waiting on my last one to start laying. Today I went out to feed them, check the coop, etc and Little Bit, the last to lay, was pretty verbal. She has always been the quietest and lowest on the pecking order, so it is out of character for her to just watch me and fuss for no apparent reason. Then I remembered that the other girls were "fussy" (I mean I get it, hormones) shortly before they started to lay. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed anything similar as a sign that a pullet will lay soon, or if it's just coincidence.

Mine do the same thing. I have one in particular who keeps biting me. Grrr Broke skin, even!
Oh wow! Thankfully mine haven't been that grumpy, just verbal mostly. But they also know that if they are butt heads they get held until I feel they're over it 😆

It's so ridiculous. She comes up to me for attention, then when I try to pet her...bam! She's the only one I have that's so doggone grouchy.
