I found 2 eggs this morning in the nest box, both were very thin and broken. Could it be that my 2 pullets who are 24 weeks old are finally laying?
I do have 2 other hens that lay every day, but normally their eggs are solid.
I found the eggs 1st thing this morning when i opened the coop up, one of my hens has since layed her daily egg, so can i ussume my pullets layed the broken eggs?
If it is the pullets, how long will it take for them to lay solid eggs, they have oyster shell available if they want it.

Is there no one that can answer this question?

If your pullets are just starting, and if they laid the soft, beginner eggs, it may take a day or two for them to "get it right". Their systems are just now coming up to speed. Give it time. Patience and observation are your best tools.

Thank you Fred.
