Okay, I have some bad pics (sorry!) of our latest batch of feed store chicks - now pushing 8 weeks old. Anyone want to help us pre-screen any extra roos, please?

Barred Rocks (4):

EE's (6):

This is "FOUR"

This is "FIVE"

This is "CLEO"

"COCOA"

"PATTY"

"SPOTTY DOTTY"

Thanks for your analysis!!

They all look like pullets to me too. The only one I would be slightly worried about is Cleo, if she starts to get red patches on her back/wings than she may in fact be a cockerel.

Thank you, one and all, for the reassurance!! :)

A couple of people on FB thought that FOUR (shown in another view, here) might be a roo. You think not? (Hope not!! LOL!)

My last chicks we got 2 white EE's, and both were roos. Do the girls not come in white, or what?! *sigh* I will keep an eye on CLEO for color splotches. I guess we can always re-name "him" as Mark Antony...

The black and white Colombian type pattern in EE is pretty much male, yep. There can be silver pullets, but the color is softer and the dark is more evenly spaced over the body vs just on the collar and tail. Agree Cleo is the only one I'd be concerned about. Do you have a comb shot of that bird?
