Pullets or Cockerels?! Six Week old Araucanas

Hey all! I have three lavender Araucanas all six weeks old today. Can anyone guess the genders? The first one is huge compared, weighing in at 500grams while the other two are about 200... is this normal to be such a huge difference? Also the first one has a crest already, while the other two have none yet. Also - Will the other two still develop crests, just later on? TIA! Ps: I’m in New Zealand, so the breed standard is different for Araucanas than the US

Right now I'm thinking #1 is a cockerel, posibly #2 aswell, #3 pullet. Keep us updated, I may change my opinion as they grow. Also where are you located?

It’s a bit early to sex them accurately. Based on comb growth, the first one looks like a cockerel. Post more pictures in a few weeks.

It's a bit early! If I had to guess I'd say 1 & 3 are boys, the redness of the first one and the width of the comb in the third make me suspicious of them! very cute babies though <3

It is tough to be 100% certain at this age. But we do love the gender guessing game.
I'm leaning toward #1 being a cockerel.

Judging from the pictures number 1 is a cockerel especially with those thicker legs, the rest look like pullets.

I agree.

It's very early right now so anything we throw out right now is simply a guess.
