There isn't a set age. Anywhere from 3-5 months is the average, but I have ones that have done anything for a year.At 8 - 9 weeks I haven't seen any indications of "activity", what age can I expect to see this?

I wouldn't wait....get them penned off by themselves leaving only 1 roo with your hens.At 8 - 9 weeks I haven't seen any indications of "activity", what age can I expect to see this?
It is hard to tell when they are that young, because tre hormones haven't kicked in and you don't know how they will truely act. Right now I would just pick your favorite, but when they start displaying more of their attitude, you might have to switch in a different rooster. I would look for the least agressive towards you and nice to the hens. But right now, none of them are probably displaying behaviors that will help with that decision. At this age what should I look for in my keeper roo? The ones I pen off by themselves will either be sold/traded/eaten. I want to keep the best roo.
