Hello, I’m fairly new to raising chickens. I have two new chicks that I hatched and are now 8 weeks old. They are the same age. The black chick is Lucy. She had very fast feather growth and is large. She started to get a pink comb at about 4 weeks. She doesn’t have any sign of wattles. She’s black and seems to have muff like an Easter Eggers. Any guesses on breed? She’s a mixed breed.
The white chick is an Amerucana from a breeder. I’m confused about her because she’s tiny compared to Lucy and she had such slow feather growth, yet doesn’t have any sign of a comb or wattles. Any guess on gender?
Thanks in advance!

I maybe wrong but you'll probably need to change Lucy to Lucas, that comb is awfully PINK although I see no other signs of being a Cockerel. The White chick looks to be a Pullet. Lucas comb looks to be a Pea Comb, Easter Eggers/Ameraucanas don't have wattles ... You say you hatched these, where did you get the eggs from? What color were the eggs? If they're eggs from your flock, what breeds do you have?

Thanks for the information, so helpful! The black chicken is from a brown egg. I bought the fertilized eggs from
two different farms. The black chick is from a farm that had mixed breed chickens. Lucy/Lucas feathered and grew so quickly, I thought I had a chance it was a pullet. So sad, can’t have Roos at my house. Thanks again for your help.
