Pullets or Roosters?

I have 3 18 week old Orpingtons, (Rio, Blue and Babs), what do you think their genders are?

Thank you! I started off thinking they were all pullets but then blue started to get those tail feathers which made me question it!

Some hens especially later maturing breeds may not lay until as late as 7 or 8 months. It’s pretty common to have hens wait to start laying until 20-24 weeks.

A typical age lay is 20 weeks, some could even go to 28. Everyone is different.

My cochin took wayy longer then she was supposed to. Like 11 months i think?

Start of lay is roughly 18-24 weeks depending on breed.

16 weeks is rare but possible. 6 months is not uncommon for slow-growing, late-maturing breeds.
