HI All, I have had my pullets for 2 days and they like to hide in a corner and peck at the house. I did have their food in the corner, but just moved it to the center of the coop. They are very timid and won't take any treats from me, not even meal worms. I have not let them into the run yet because they are shy and I am afraid I will not be able to get them back in. Is it harmful that they are pecking at the house?

They are ok. They explore with their beaks. The walls may look a certain color to you but chickens can see more light spectrums than we can. There may be something shiny or florescent in the material or even just tiny bugs. It's always good to let chicks stay in the new digs for at least a week. They need time to explore, adjust, and to know what home smells and looks like.
Welcome to our flock!
