I have 4 pullets who are approx 10 weeks old who are sleeping with their heads tucked under a wing like I've seen ducks do. I still have a heat lamp in there with them as they are in the outside "grow up coop" and I believe they are plenty warm enough as they all sleep several feet from the light

Is this normal behavior? Anything to be concerned about?

Just never noticed any of my other young birds doing it....and its only the pullets....no roos doing this and there are 6 of them in there

THANKS

I'm not sure of the reasoning behind it but I've seen chickens do it before.

I believe most birds do. Even gulls on a beach while standing on one leg - tough way to catch a few winks, but they do.
