Pullets started then STOPPED!

You know it is a strange thing, but I have noticed for years, that when it first gets cold, my chickens eat less. I have no idea why.
I have noticed that with mine. It's my first winter with chickens and we have had snow and ice for the past 4 days. The chickens hardly seem to be eating at all and I've been quite worried. I gave them some warm wet feed this morning and at least they have eaten that.

I have given up worrying about it, (I am not a real good worrier) because once they adjust, they eat just fine.

As long as they are active, bright eyed, I don't worry.
Thanks. They seem bright eyed enough but spending a lot of time on the roost awake and alert.
