I have pretty much worked out which sex most my chicks are now except these two. I think the white one is a roo and not sure re my other one. The last little pic I'm sure is a roo. Shame cause favourite personality.

From this I'd guess all roos too. But you don't say how old they are, and that can make quite a difference. Also breeds, if you know them.

Yes- I thought all Roos too but number 2 escaped and visited my neighbour across the rd, he thought it had a pink crown so pullet and got me hopeful but it does look very similar to no. 3 ( my fav)which I am positive is roo. I dont know breed as think they are all mixed. They are just over 8 wks now.

do you have any other chicks of the same age - presumed pullets - to compare them? Look for comb development and colour, and sturdiness of shanks at this age. Feather shape differences will come through later in most cases.

Thanks. Problem is some are bantum mix too so all are quite different
The pic is of similar one which I think is pullet based on tail feathers.
Then I have this cute little runt that I think is not as he's so tiny but legs have been Massive since he arrived. I suppose I will just have to wait til they crow but I love looking at them and trying to learn more...

If they’re all 8 weeks then I’d guess 1 and 3 are cockerels. 2 is a pullet.

And on the last two pics I’d guess 1 is a cockerel and 2 is a pullet.

When they 12+weeks you'll be able to sex them easily. The cockerels will start growing shiny, pointed (often bright coloured) saddle feathers just in front of their tail. Whilst the pullet’s saddle feathers will remain short and round.
