Pumpkin Hulsey Chicks

Being a newbie, I'd never heard of these birds... but seeing this thread title reminded me of an ad in my local craigslist.
Sadly, Spokane is about as far from OP as you can get. But who knows??

Cheers!

Pumpkin Hulsey Chickens (Spokane Area)

I have a trio of Pumpkin Hulseys flown directly from Greenfire Farms in Florida (http://www.greenfirefarms.com/). I did not order this breed...oops. But I did keep them to see I would get attached and even built them their own coop.
The hens are good layers (so far) of white smaller eggs and are friendly. The rooster is gorgeous and showy but not nice...but I suppose he IS a game bird.
I am looking to see if there is any reason for me to keep them.
Would anyone be interested in some Pumpkin Hulsey chicks this Spring?
Please email through CL

Hi everyone, the only thing about Green Fire Farms and their Pumpkins is that they are mass production versus a game breeder. A Gamefowl breeder takes pride in his Pumpkins and will only breed the highest quality he has, he/she will breed for quality not quantity. The Pumpkin Hulsey is true American Games and bred in the USA and was bred to be a Gamebird not a pet. They can be trained to be pets but always remember is a gamebird. Cara has posted before a picture of one of our Pumpkin Hulsey Brood cocks, I hope you guys like him, his line has been bred for over 50 years by one breeder that took pride in his quality Pumpkin Hulseys.
