I am trimming my garden now after a frost and was wondering can I put old vine in with the chickens for them to peck at and eat?

Pumpkin vines are cover in furry thorns, chickens won't eat them. Tomatoe vines are toxic, but if you grew any kale or other greens that are spent, you can toss those in with the girls. They also like grape vine leaves. Guess it's that time of year to start clearing out the garden. I am planting cabbage, kale, and turnip seed today for a winter crop.

God Bless!

good to know about the tomato vine, but tomatoes themselves are fine, right? I have been throwing red cherry tomatoes in and they seem to love them. Should I stop?
